(3/30) If you pick up the newly released Sweet Valley High book series you may end up doing a double take at the double the Leven Rambin on the cover! Now, not only is she playing both Lily and Ava on AMC, but she's the model for the SVH twins Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield. Trying to recapture its popularity of the 80's, the books will hit bookstores in April. Some changes have been made to the originals to update with the times... changing Elizabeth from editor of the school paper to editor of the school website and writing an anonymous blog. The unfortunate change in the books is that the girls have changed from a "perfect size 6" to a "perfect size 4." Is this really a necessary change? When did size 6 not become good enough and why do young girls need even more impossible ideals to try and leave up to? Jeers to Random House for this change!

On December 13 after a long day at work, Alicia Minshew came home to a beautiful dinner prepared by her beau of 3 years, Richie Herschenfeld. According to an article in SOD magazine, Richie asked Alicia to check the Christmas tree to make sure it didn't need water. When she went to the tree, she found a gorgeous Tiffany bracelet hanging from one of the branches with a charm on it that said, "Will you marry me, sweet Lish?" A stunned Alicia couldn't believe what was happening but it all became clear when Richie said, "I've waited my whole life for you. Will you be my wife?" and then pulled a ring out of the pots and pans drawer because, since Alicia doesn't cook, he knew she'd never find it there! Alicia of course, said yes!! Congratulations to the happy couple who were introduced to each other by Richie's best friend, Thorsten Kaye (Zach). Photo courtesy of Linda Lenzi.
